St. John's
Hospital, built in 1884 - weakened by earthquakes in 1935 and
eventually demolished. This edifice stood atop "Catholic
Hill", directly across South Ewing St. from where the "new"
St. John's was built in 1939... |
The 1939 building is still standing, but no longer serves as a hospital.
